Zelensky thanks Espot for Andorra's support for Ukraine: "Thank you very much, Andorra!"
Zelensky closed the message by addressing the Principality directly and doing so in Catalan
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has publicly thanked the Head of Government, Xavier Espot, for the message sent on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day and highlighted the support Andorra has maintained for the country since the beginning of the conflict with Russia.
In a message published on social media, Zelenskyy expressed his "sincere gratitude" to Espot for his message and for what he describes as "Andorra's unconditional solidarity with the Ukrainian people."
"We deeply appreciate Andorra's principled commitment to international law and to our shared cause of restoring a lasting peace," stated the Ukrainian president.
Zelenskyy closed the message by addressing the Principality directly and doing so in Catalan: "Moltes gràcies, Andorra!" ("Thank you very much, Andorra!").
Andorra Maintains Its Support for Ukraine
The Ukrainian president's words come after Xavier Espot conveyed his support to Ukraine coinciding with the celebration of its independence, a particularly symbolic date in the current international context.
With his response, Zelenskyy sought to emphasize not only the solidarity expressed by the Andorran Government, but also the Principality's position in defense of international law and a solution that allows for achieving a lasting peace.
