Andorran passport ranks 36th worldwide, offering access to 159 destinations without a conventional visa in advance
Andorra drops three places from 2025 and achieves 80.3% global coverage, according to Informes de Passaports
The Andorran passport ranks 36th worldwide in 2026, with a mobility score of 159 and access to 80.3% of the destinations analysed, according to Informes de Passaports. This represents a three-place decline from 2025, when it ranked 33rd with 161 points.
The current score comprises 99 visa-free destinations, 50 offering visas on arrival or other simplified entry procedures, and 10 requiring electronic travel authorisation. The remaining 39 destinations are listed as requiring a visa in advance.
This breakdown means that the mobility reflected in the ranking does not always amount to travelling without formalities: some destinations require authorisations, registrations or electronic applications before departure.
Full coverage across Europe and the Gulf countries
Europe offers 100% coverage within the destinations analysed. Of the 46 European destinations listed, 45 are classified as visa-free, while the United Kingdom requires electronic travel authorisation. Among European passports, Andorra ranks 34th out of 47 countries.
The Gulf countries also reach 100% coverage. The United Arab Emirates is listed as visa-free, while Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Oman fall under the visa-on-arrival or other simplified entry categories.
In South America, coverage reaches 91.7%, with eleven visa-free destinations and Guyana the only destination classified as requiring a visa. In North America, coverage stands at 87%, combining visa-free access, electronic authorisations and simplified procedures.
Regional differences and entry requirements
In Asia, coverage stands at 76%. The report lists eighteen visa-free destinations, seventeen offering visas on arrival or simplified entry, three requiring electronic authorisation and twelve requiring a visa. In Central Asia, coverage reaches 80%.
The report groups different procedures under its simplified entry categories. These include systems such as eVisitor, electronic visa options and formalities completed on arrival. Other destinations classified as visa-free require arrival cards or specific registrations.
The classification allows passport mobility to be compared, but it does not mean that every destination within the same category applies identical entry requirements.
A lower score than in 2024 and 2025
The historical series shows changes in both the number of accessible destinations and Andorra’s relative ranking. In 2020, a year marked by the pandemic, the Andorran passport had a score of 114 and ranked 29th worldwide.
Its mobility score rose to 135 in 2021, 158 in 2022 and 160 in 2023. The highest score in the supplied series was recorded in 2024, at 162 points, before falling to 161 in 2025 and 159 in 2026.
However, the global ranking does not necessarily move in line with the score, as it also depends on the performance of other passports. The report records these changes without identifying their causes.
In other comparisons within the same dataset, Andorra ranks 23rd among 27 countries using the euro and 36th among 57 OSCE participating States. These indicators measure travel opportunities for Andorran passport holders, which are separate from the entry requirements applied to foreign visitors travelling to Andorra.
