Couple arrested with stolen equipment from Pas de la Casa restaurant

Police arrested a couple after receiving a report over the theft of a backpack containing several valuable items from inside a restaurant in Pas de la Casa.

The incident took place yesterday afternoon, when police were informed that a couple had allegedly stolen a backpack containing various pieces of computer equipment from inside the restaurant.

Police were later called again after receiving information that the alleged suspects could be in a car park in Andorra la Vella. Two police patrols were dispatched to the location.

Once there, officers were able to identify the two individuals and search the vehicle in which they were travelling. Inside, they found two laptop computers, a pair of headphones, a bottle of perfume and the chargers for the devices.

The items found in the vehicle matched the property reported stolen in the initial complaint from the restaurant in Pas de la Casa.

Police subsequently arrested the couple in connection with the incident. The recovered items were secured as part of the ongoing police proceedings.

The operation allowed officers to locate the alleged suspects shortly after the initial report and in a different parish, while also recovering the property reported stolen from the restaurant.
