Motorcyclist dies in head-on collision with a car on the N-260 in Ribera d’Urgellet

A motorcyclist died on Friday, 11 September, in a head-on collision with a car on the N-260 in Ribera d’Urgellet, in the Alt Urgell region, according to ElCaso.
The crash occurred at 1:33 p.m. at kilometre 237.5 of the road. The motorcycle and car collided head-on under circumstances that have not been disclosed.
Five Mossos d’Esquadra police patrols, two Catalan fire service crews, two ambulances and a medical helicopter from the emergency medical service (SEM) were dispatched to the scene. Despite the emergency response, the motorcyclist could not be saved.

The Ribera d’Urgellet crash happened just ten minutes before another fatal head-on collision between a motorcycle and a car on the C-59 in Caldes de Montbui, in which the motorcyclist also died.
