Lladós expects Andorra’s GDP to reach €4.2 billion in 2026
Government forecasts real growth of about 3%, above projections for Spain, France and the EU
Finance Minister Ramon Lladós expects Andorra’s gross domestic product to reach around €4.2 billion by the end of 2026.
Speaking at a meeting of the General Council, he estimated that the economy would grow by about 3% in real terms, excluding the effect of inflation.
According to the figures he presented, this growth rate would be higher than Spain’s forecast, four times France’s and more than twice the European Union’s. Lladós said Andorra’s economy had maintained steady growth and had often outperformed initial estimates in recent years.
Growth has exceeded budget forecasts
The minister also recalled that an earlier budget forecast of 2.5% GDP growth ultimately became 3.9%. He cited the difference as evidence that the economy has tended to grow faster than initially projected.
Lladós said current growth also exceeds what he considers the natural rate of expansion across the country’s economic sectors. The forecast for 2026 as a whole, however, remains at around 3% in real terms.
