Two Helicopter Rescues at Pal Bike Park in Less Than Two Hours
A young man and a young woman suffered multiple injuries after two separate bicycle crashes and were airlifted to hospital
Two people were airlifted to Nostra Senyora de Meritxell Hospital on Sunday after suffering separate bicycle crashes at Pal Bike Park in Andorra.
The two incidents occurred less than two hours apart, leaving a young man and a young woman with multiple injuries.
Two crashes at Pal Bike Park
The first incident occurred at 11:45 a.m., when a young man fell while riding his bicycle at Pal Bike Park.
As a result of the crash, he suffered several injuries and had to be evacuated by helicopter to Nostra Senyora de Meritxell Hospital for medical treatment.
The second accident took place at 1:40 p.m. and involved a young woman, who also fell while cycling at the same venue. She suffered multiple injuries and was likewise airlifted to hospital.
Both incidents required the intervention of emergency services, who treated the injured cyclists before arranging their evacuation.

Separately, Andorra's Fire Service also responded to an incident on Sunday during the Travessa Pas de la Casa mountain race.
At 10:30 a.m., one of the participants had to be transported by ambulance from Estany de les Abelletes to the Pas de la Casa Medical Centre.
