Andorran Police have confirmed on Friday afternoon that the body found on Thursday in the Tristaina area is that of the 28-year-old British tourist who had been reported missing and was being searched for since Wednesday.
Officers investigating the man's death confirmed his identity after identification procedures were carried out following the discovery of the body.
The body was found at around midday on Thursday in Tristaina, in the parish of Ordino, as part of the operation launched to locate the missing tourist.

A member of the public alerted the Fire and Rescue Service after spotting what appeared to be a person lying lifeless in the area. Emergency teams subsequently reached the location and found the body.
