Andorra to launch flights to Madrid on Mondays and Fridays and Paris on Tuesdays and Saturdays from January
Chalair Aviation will begin operating the routes from Andorra–La Seu d'Urgell Airport on January 1, 2027
Andorra will have new regular air connections to Madrid and Paris starting January 1, 2027, with two weekly flights to each destination departing from Andorra–La Seu d'Urgell Airport.
Andorra's Secretary of State for Energy Transition, Transport and Mobility, David Forné, announced on Monday that flights to Madrid will operate on Monday and Friday mornings, while services to Paris will run on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The French airline Chalair Aviation will operate both routes following the final approval of the contract by the Council of Ministers last Wednesday.
Tickets are already available for purchase, with advertised fares starting at €67 for Madrid and €79 for Paris.
Paris-Orly confirmed as the French destination
One of the main developments confirmed by Forné is that flights to the French capital will operate to Paris-Orly Airport, located south of the city and connected to central Paris by public transport.
The new service will provide a direct air connection to France, expanding international travel options for Andorran residents.
The Paris route will be one of the most significant additions to the country's air connectivity programme for 2027, while the Madrid connection will continue operating under a revised weekly schedule.
Two weekly flights to each destination
The announced schedule establishes the following services:
Madrid: Mondays and Fridays, with early-morning departures.
Paris-Orly: Tuesdays and Saturdays.
This arrangement will distribute flights to the two European capitals throughout the week, making travel more convenient for business passengers and leisure travellers alike.
The introduction of Chalair Aviation will also bring operational changes to Andorra–La Seu d'Urgell Airport, which serves as the Principality's main gateway for commercial air travel.
Airport to expand international connections
The new flight programme forms part of the Andorran Government's strategy to improve the Principality's international connectivity and strengthen the role of Andorra–La Seu d'Urgell Airport.
In addition to Madrid and Paris, the expansion plan includes maintaining the existing connection to Palma de Mallorca and gradually introducing further French destinations, including Nice, Lyon and Nantes, during periods of higher demand.
Chalair will station an aircraft permanently at the airport, aiming to improve service reliability and support regular operations.
The introduction of the Madrid and Paris routes represents another step towards improving Andorra's accessibility, offering residents, businesses and international visitors additional travel options without relying exclusively on airports in Barcelona or Toulouse.
The expansion is also expected to strengthen the airport's role in supporting tourism and economic activity, particularly as Andorra seeks to diversify its international transport links.
