The Andorran passport continues to improve its international standing and now ranks 35th worldwide for travel mobility, according to data updated on 18 October 2026 by the specialised platform Passport Reports.

The Principality's passport has climbed one position compared with the previous ranking, in which it stood 36th, achieving a mobility score of 142 points, equivalent to access to 71.7% of the destinations analysed.

This indicator reflects the ease with which Andorran citizens can travel internationally without having to apply for a conventional visa before departure.

The platform, which analyses passports from 199 countries and publishes its reports in 34 languages, places Andorra among the countries offering considerable international travel freedom, although its passport still ranks below those of many leading European nations.

Andorran Citizens Can Travel to 98 Destinations Visa-Free

The Passport Reports ranking examines entry requirements across 198 international destinations, distinguishing between countries that allow visa-free access and those requiring some form of administrative procedure.

According to the latest figures, holders of an Andorran passport benefit from the following travel conditions:

  • 98 destinations allow entry without a visa.

  • 33 destinations offer visas on arrival or other simplified entry procedures.

  • 11 destinations require an electronic travel authorisation.

  • 56 destinations require travellers to obtain a visa before departure.

The first three categories together account for Andorra's current international mobility score of 142.

This means that Andorran passport holders can access more than seven out of every ten destinations assessed without having to obtain a conventional visa in advance, although some countries still require electronic authorisation or the completion of entry procedures upon arrival.

The figures highlight the international mobility opportunities available to Andorran citizens, particularly for tourism, business travel and other short-term visits abroad.

Andorra Ranks 34th Among European Countries

Despite improving its position in the global ranking, the Andorran passport continues to rank below many other European passports.

According to Passport Reports, Andorra holds 34th place among the 47 European countries included in the continental ranking.

The platform also provides comparisons between countries belonging to different international organisations and economic groupings.

Within these classifications, the Principality ranks 23rd out of 27 countries using the euro.

Meanwhile, among countries participating in the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), Andorra occupies 36th place out of 57.

These rankings illustrate Andorra's position within the European and international mobility landscape, where differences in visa policies and bilateral agreements influence the travel opportunities available to citizens.

An Improvement in Andorra's International Travel Mobility

The latest ranking confirms a modest improvement in the international standing of the Andorran passport, which has moved from 36th to 35th place worldwide.

Although the increase amounts to just one position, the Principality's mobility score of 142 demonstrates that Andorran citizens enjoy relatively broad access to international destinations.

Nevertheless, the figures also underline the gap separating Andorra from the highest-ranked European passports, whose holders generally benefit from wider visa-free travel arrangements.

The updated October 2026 classification therefore places Andorra among the countries with substantial international travel freedom, while highlighting the continued importance of international mobility agreements and entry arrangements in determining the strength of a national passport.
