A warning letter about possible burglaries in a residential building in Andorra la Vella has raised concerns after an image of the notice circulated on social media.

The letter highlights security concerns at an apartment building in the Andorran capital and urges residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

The warning was shared on social media platform X, at a time when the Andorran Police are investigating several residential burglaries reported across the Principality in recent months.

However, there has been no confirmation that any burglary has occurred in the specific building mentioned in the letter, nor has it been established whether the circumstances behind the warning have been formally reported to the authorities.

Andorran Police Investigate Around a Dozen Residential Burglaries

The circulation of the warning letter comes as police investigations continue into a series of home burglaries in Andorra.

The director of the Andorran Police, Bruno Lasne, recently revealed that investigators have identified at least four individuals suspected of belonging to two separate groups allegedly linked to approximately twelve residential burglaries since April.

According to information released by the police, the suspects allegedly targeted properties when residents were away, taking advantage of empty homes to enter and steal valuable belongings.

The investigations remain ongoing as officers work to establish the circumstances surrounding the incidents and determine the possible involvement of the identified suspects.

Police Warn About Markers Used to Identify Empty Homes

The Andorran Police have previously warned residents about methods allegedly used by burglars to determine whether a property is occupied.

These techniques include placing small plastic markers, glue threads or silicone strips on apartment doors to detect whether residents have entered or left their homes.

If these markers remain undisturbed for a prolonged period, criminals may interpret this as a sign that the property is temporarily unoccupied.

Such methods could allow burglars to identify apparently empty apartments before attempting to gain access.

What Should Residents Do if They Notice Suspicious Activity?

Police recommend that residents remain alert to unfamiliar markings around doors, suspicious individuals entering residential buildings and other unusual activity.

Anyone who notices signs of a possible burglary or attempted break-in should contact the Andorran Police by calling 110 or 872 000.

Authorities also advise residents not to disturb potential evidence if they suspect that a burglary has taken place, allowing investigators to examine the scene.

The warning letter circulating online has renewed concerns about residential security in Andorra la Vella, although the specific circumstances behind the notice have yet to be independently verified.

While police continue investigating burglaries across the country, residents are being encouraged to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious situations.
